Common questions
What does DMARC do?
DMARC tells receiving servers what to do with mail that fails SPF and DKIM — and sends you reports on who's sending as your domain. It's your defense against spoofing and phishing.
What's the difference between p=none, quarantine and reject?
none only monitors; quarantine sends failing mail to spam; reject blocks it outright. Most teams start at none, then tighten to quarantine and reject.
I have SPF and DKIM — do I still need DMARC?
Yes. SPF and DKIM authenticate mail, but only DMARC tells receivers how to act on failures and gives you reporting. Without it, you're flying blind.
How do I create a DMARC record?
Our free DMARC Record Generator builds one for you, with a safe none → quarantine → reject rollout plan.
