Common questions
Where does the DMARC record go?
Add it as a TXT record on the _dmarc subdomain — host _dmarc, value as generated. It applies to your whole domain.
What policy should I start with?
Start at p=none to collect reports without affecting delivery. Once you've confirmed legitimate mail passes, move to quarantine, then reject.
What is the pct tag?
pct applies your policy to a percentage of mail, letting you roll out enforcement gradually — e.g. quarantine 25% first, then ramp to 100%.
Do I need SPF and DKIM first?
