Zapmail vs Infraforge: Which Cold Email Infrastructure Wins in 2026?

Zapmail and Infraforge take opposite approaches to cold email infrastructure. Here is how they compare on mailbox type, dedicated IPs, billing terms and cost at scale, and when neither is the right answer.

This comparison comes up constantly and it is usually framed as a straight fight. It is not. Zapmail and Infraforge sell fundamentally different products to different stages of the same buyer, and picking correctly is mostly a question of how much you send.

Zapmail provisions Google Workspace and Microsoft 365 mailboxes quickly and cheaply. Infraforge sells private sending infrastructure with dedicated IPs. Below is where each one genuinely wins, and the honest case for looking at neither.

The core difference in one table

Zapmail Infraforge
Model Reseller of Google / M365 mailboxes Private SMTP infrastructure
Dedicated IP No, shared provider infrastructure Yes, plus $100 per additional IP
Billing Monthly available Quarterly ($4.50/mo) or annual ($4.00/mo) only
Setup speed Fast, largely automated Fast, with pre-warmed domains available
Sender trust Highest, real Google / Microsoft Earned through warmup
Best volume band Up to roughly 50 mailboxes 50+ mailboxes, high volume
Reply handling Native Gmail / Outlook Via your sequencer’s inbox

Where Zapmail wins

Speed and simplicity. You want 20 mailboxes on 7 domains by Thursday. Zapmail is built for exactly that, with DNS handled and minimal decisions to make.

Sender trust out of the box. These are real Google Workspace and Microsoft 365 accounts. That inherent credibility is the single biggest deliverability advantage available to a new sender, and no private stack replicates it on day one.

Monthly billing. You can size up and down as campaigns change. For agencies especially, this matters more than a small per-unit price difference.

Reply behaviour. Threading, calendar invites, internal forwarding, all native. If a prospect forwards your email to three colleagues, it behaves like a normal message.

Where Infraforge wins

Reputation isolation. The whole argument for private infrastructure. Your dedicated IP carries only your sending history. On shared infrastructure, and within a heavily-used reseller tenant, other senders influence your placement in ways you cannot see or fix.

Cost per send at volume. Per-seat pricing is linear; infrastructure pricing is not. Somewhere past 50 mailboxes the curves cross and infrastructure pulls decisively ahead on cost per email.

Deliverability engineering. Automated SPF, DKIM, DMARC and PTR across every domain, domain masking, and bulk DNS updates. At forty-plus domains this is the difference between a system and a spreadsheet.

Scale without a seat ceiling. Going from 50 to 500 mailboxes does not multiply your bill tenfold.

Where both fall short

Zapmail: no dedicated IPs, so you inherit whatever reputation the shared pool carries. And per-seat pricing that is fine at 20 mailboxes becomes hard to justify at 150.

Infraforge: no monthly plan at all. Quarterly is the shortest commitment, and the cheaper annual rate locks you in for twelve months. Then there is $100 per additional dedicated IP, a ten-IP setup adds $1,000 to a bill that the per-mailbox comparison never showed you.

Both: each is one layer. Neither sends a campaign. You still need a sequencer, warmup, lead data and somewhere to handle replies. Price the stack.

Price the whole stack, not one layer

Outboundry includes mailboxes, dedicated-IP infrastructure, warmup, lead data and sequencing in one subscription.

The third option most people should price

If you are choosing between these two, you are almost certainly at the volume where the interesting question is not “which of these” but “why am I buying this separately at all”.

Mailboundry is private infrastructure with a dedicated IP per mailbox, from $2 per mailbox per month, on monthly, quarterly or annual billing, and the IP is included rather than $100 extra. If you also want real Google or Microsoft mailboxes for your enterprise targets, those are $4 per mailbox per month in the same account, so you can run both models side by side and split campaigns by recipient rather than by vendor.

All of it sits inside the Outboundry subscription with cold email, LinkedIn outreach, 500M+ lead records, unlimited warmup and the unified inbox. One invoice, and when a campaign underperforms you can trace it from the reply back to the IP that sent it without opening a second dashboard.

How to decide

  • Under 30 mailboxes, need it this week: Zapmail, or Google/Microsoft mailboxes from any competent reseller.
  • 50+ mailboxes, steady volume, annual budget approved: Infraforge is a sound choice if the terms suit you.
  • Volume that moves month to month: rule out Infraforge on billing alone, then compare Zapmail against Mailboundry on cost per mailbox.
  • Running many dedicated IPs: check whether IPs are included or charged. At $100 each this line dominates the comparison.
  • Tired of five subscriptions: price a consolidated platform before renewing any of them.

Next: five Infraforge alternatives compared, or what a dedicated IP actually costs.

Frequently asked questions

Is Zapmail or Infraforge better for cold email?

Zapmail is the faster, simpler route to Google and Microsoft mailboxes for teams under roughly 50 inboxes. Infraforge is private infrastructure with dedicated IPs, which matters more once you are sending high volume and need reputation isolation. They are answers to different questions rather than direct substitutes.

Does Infraforge offer monthly billing?

No. Infraforge sells on quarterly or annual terms only, at $4.50 and $4.00 per mailbox per month respectively. Additional dedicated IPs are $100 each. If you need to flex mailbox counts month to month, that is the constraint to plan around.

Do I need dedicated IPs for cold email?

Past a few thousand sends a month, yes. On shared infrastructure your inbox placement depends partly on senders you cannot see or control. A dedicated IP means your reputation reflects only your own sending behaviour, which is also what makes deliverability debuggable.

What is the cheapest way to run 50 cold email mailboxes?

Private infrastructure, almost always. At 50 mailboxes you are past the point where per-seat pricing for Google or Microsoft accounts makes sense. Mailboundry starts at $2 per mailbox per month with a dedicated IP included, against roughly $4.00 to $4.50 for seat-based providers.

Can I mix mailbox types?

Yes, and most teams at scale should. Run real Google or Microsoft mailboxes for named enterprise accounts where sender trust matters most, and private infrastructure for high-volume top-of-funnel. Running both in one platform means you do not have to reconcile two dashboards.
