New: Signals

Every cold email needs a reason. Signals finds yours.

Tell Outboundry what to keep an eye on: your old customers, your target accounts, a competitor's page, the phrase people use when they are shopping for what you sell. We check in the background, and when something happens the right person lands in your campaign with the reason already attached.

Why lists stop working

A list starts dying the day you build it

Static lists are the reason most outbound plateaus. Not the copy, not the sending volume. The list.

1

It goes stale quietly

People get promoted, change companies and disappear. Your sequence keeps emailing the old address until it bounces, and your sending reputation pays the bill.

2

Cold means no reason

A first email with nothing behind it is a guess. The same message sent the week someone starts a new job, or the day their team posts three new roles, reads like you were paying attention.

3

The good moments are short

A new role, a hiring push, a post with 400 reactions. Each one is worth an email for about a week, and none of them ever show up in a spreadsheet you exported in March.

Included on every plan

Your existing lists, watched for free

Before you buy anything, Outboundry is already checking the people in your lists for job changes and profile drift. There is nothing to switch on, and alerts about contacts you already own never cost you anything.

  • Job changes, promotions, title changes and departures on leads you already have
  • A health bar on every list, with one click to clean the dead records out
  • A pre-send check that pulls departed contacts before the campaign goes live, not after the bounce
  • Monitored contacts scale with your plan: 250 on Starter, 25,000 on Enterprise

The Signals add-on

Six things you can ask us to watch

Pick a template, paste an input, choose where the people should go. Two steps. No criteria builders, no intervals to configure, no credit maths.

Watch people

“Tell me when these people change jobs, get promoted or update their role.”

A lead list, a campaign or pasted profiles · 250 people per watch

Watch companies

“Tell me when these companies start hiring or grow their team.”

New roles, hiring surges, headcount swings · 25 companies per watch

Watch a search

“Keep finding new people who match this description and add them to my campaign.”

A Lead Finder search or a Sales Navigator URL · new matches only

Watch keywords

“Tell me when people post about this on LinkedIn.”

Authors by default, engagers optional · daily post cap and reaction floor
Most turned on

Watch a profile

“Every time this person or company posts, give me everyone who engages with it.”

A competitor page, an influencer, your own company page

Watch a post

“Get everyone who engages with this specific post.”

Tracks for 72 hours, then completes and frees the slot
The one people turn on first

Paste a competitor's page once. Never touch it again.

Every post they publish, we collect everyone who reacted and commented, drop the people you already have, apply your ICP filter, and send the rest into a campaign with the post quoted in the opening line. Then we go back at 24 and 72 hours to catch the late engagement.

  • Reactors, commenters or both, your choice per watch
  • Point it at a person or a company page, and at your own page for warm inbound
  • Deduped against your workspace and your do-not-contact list before delivery
  • A harvest cap per post, so one viral post cannot eat a month of allowance

Lemlist charges $4 every time someone engages with a post. On a post with 400 reactions that is $1,600, which is why nobody actually runs it. Ours comes out of the allowance you already bought.

Campaigns that refill themselves

A campaign becomes a standing order

When you build a campaign, choose “keep this campaign full automatically” and tie it to a search. New people who match get found, verified and enrolled while you are doing something else. The dormant campaign that quietly ran out of leads stops being a thing that happens.

  • Built from a Lead Finder search or a pasted Sales Navigator URL
  • Only people who were not in the results last time, so nobody is contacted twice
  • Save any Lead Finder search as a watch, at the moment you run it
  • An efficiency table per watch, so you can prune the ones producing noise

Why now, in the message

The reason arrives with the person

A lead with no context is worth nothing, so the why-now travels into the sequence. New merge fields show up in email, LinkedIn and WhatsApp steps, each one requiring a fallback, and the editor refuses to let you save a signal variable without one.

  • A “why now” panel on the lead record: their last post, their new role, their company's hiring trend
  • An AI opener written from what they actually posted, not from their job title
  • A new Engage first LinkedIn step: react to or comment on their latest post before the connection request goes out
  • Reply rate per signal type, next to cold, so you can see what is actually working

Fallbacks are required. A merge failure in a cold email is worse than no personalization, so the editor will not save a signal variable without one.
Not another tab

Signals show up where you already work

A feed nobody visits is worth nothing. So the signal sits on the record, in the campaign, in the inbox and in the pre-send check.

Dashboard

A “happening now” card with the three newest signals nobody has acted on, and one click to enroll them.

Lead record

A why-now panel above the activity feed: recent job change, last post, what they engaged with, their company's headcount trend.

Lead lists

Signal badges on the rows, a “has signal” filter, and a health bar with a clean-this-list action.

Campaign setup

Signals sit as a third lead source next to “upload a list” and “use Lead Finder”, with a source breakdown once it is running.

Unified inbox

When a signal-sourced lead replies, the originating signal sits in the conversation sidebar, so the rep has the context without leaving the thread.

Deliverability

Departed contacts are suppressed before the send. List health feeds the deliverability dashboard alongside warmup and placement.

Signals pricing

Monitoring is included. New people are the add-on.

Two units and nothing else is metered: watches are the things we keep an eye on, signal leads are the new people we bring you. Alerts on contacts you already own are free.

FAQ

Signals questions, answered

Do I need the add-on to get anything?
No. Every paid plan already watches the people in your lists for job changes, promotions and departures, and feeds that into list health and the pre-send check. That part is included and always on. The add-on is for finding new people: post engagers, keyword intent, self-refilling ICP searches, and hiring signals on accounts where you have no contacts yet.
What is a watch, and what is a signal lead?
Two units, and nothing else is metered. A watch is one thing we keep an eye on: a lead list, 25 companies, a competitor page, a keyword set. A signal lead is a new person we deliver to you. Alerts about people you already own, and alerts about accounts, do not consume signal leads.
How is this different from Lemlist signals?
Mostly price, and depth on LinkedIn. Lemlist charges around $1 per job change and $4 per post engager, which prices the best signal out of daily use. Our engager collection comes out of the allowance you already bought, runs automatically for every post an author publishes, and can be pointed at a company page rather than only a person.
Will a viral post burn through my allowance?
No. Every post watch has a harvest cap, a minimum-reaction threshold and a daily post limit. Keyword watches show a preview before you save: “last week this matched 47 posts and about 1,200 engagers, at this rate you would use your full monthly allowance in three days.” If a watch is on track to blow the allowance we pause it and tell you, rather than billing you for it.
Do signal leads arrive with contact details?
They arrive as normal leads in your workspace, so Email Finder and Phone Finder work on them like any other lead and your ICP score is applied on delivery. Send them straight into a campaign, or hold them in a list for review first.
How often do you check?
Weekly on Lite, daily on Signals, every six hours on Pro. Included monitoring on core plans runs weekly. You never set an interval yourself, it follows your plan and is shown as plain text on the watch.
Can agencies resell it?
Yes. Watches and signal leads are tracked per workspace, so you can see usage per client, cap each workspace and export the numbers for rebilling. Under whitelabel it appears as your own feature.
Which signals are you missing today?
Funding rounds, tech-stack changes and website visitor identification. Visitor identification needs a tracking pixel, which is on the roadmap rather than in the product. We would rather say that plainly than have you find out in month two.
Monitoring included, add-on from $19
