Outbound that starts with something that just happened

A list you built in March gets worse every week. Signal-based outreach flips it: you tell Outboundry what to watch, and people enter your sequences the moment there is a reason to contact them, with that reason carried into the first line.

The plays

Six triggers that beat a static list

Each one is a watch you set up once. After that the people arrive on their own, tagged, scored and ready to enroll.

Your buyer moved

Watch your closed-won list, your champions and anyone who ever replied. When they turn up at a new company, they are the warmest outbound that exists, because they already bought from you once.

“Congrats on the move to Acme. We worked together at Betaco, thought I'd say hello.”

An account started hiring

Three new sales roles in a month means new targets, new problems and new budget. Watch 25 companies per watch for roles posted, hiring surges and headcount swings.

“Saw you're hiring two AEs and an SDR manager. Usually that means the ramp plan is the bottleneck.”

They engaged with a competitor

Paste a competitor's page once. Every post they publish, everyone who reacted or commented becomes a lead, deduped against your workspace and filtered to your ICP.

“You commented on their post about list hygiene. Here's the part they left out.”

They asked out loud

Watch the phrases people use when they are shopping: “switching from”, “any recommendations for”, “hiring an SDR”. You answer a question that was asked in public.

“You asked about alternatives on Tuesday. Two honest notes before you demo anything.”

Someone new matched your ICP

Tie a search to a campaign and it becomes a standing order. New people who match get found, verified and enrolled without anyone remembering to top the list up.

Campaign stays full. No dormant sequences, no monthly list-building sprint.

Someone left, quietly

The defensive play, and it is free on every plan. Departed contacts are paused and their email flagged before the campaign sends, so your domain does not pay for a bounce you could have predicted.

Fewer bounces, better placement, and nobody emails a dead address for six weeks.
How it runs

Four steps, then it works without you

1

Say what to watch

Pick a template: your customers, your target accounts, a competitor's page, a keyword set, or a search tied to a campaign.

2

Say where people go

Straight into a campaign, into a list for review, or just notify you. Everything arrives tagged with the watch that found it.

3

Write the reason in

Use the signal merge fields in email, LinkedIn and WhatsApp steps, each with a fallback, so the first line references the actual trigger.

4

Prune what does not work

Reply rate per signal type, side by side with cold. Keep the watches that produce meetings and switch off the ones producing noise.

FAQ

Signal-based outreach, answered

What is signal-based outreach?
Outbound that starts from something that just happened rather than from a list you built once. A contact changes job, a target account posts three roles, someone reacts to a competitor's post, someone writes about the problem you solve. Each of those is a reason to send today, and the reply rates reflect that.
Do I need a separate intent-data tool?
No. Signals is part of Outboundry, so the trigger, the lead record, the email and LinkedIn sequence, the WhatsApp step, the call task and the inbox are all in one place. Job-change monitoring on your existing lists is included on every paid plan, and the add-on that finds new people starts at $19 a month.
Which signals convert best?
Job changes on people who already know you, then engagement with a competitor's posts, then keyword intent. Hiring signals convert well at the account level but need a contact play behind them. The analytics view shows reply rate per signal type, so you can prune what does not work in your market rather than take our word for it.
How do I keep it from becoming spam?
Score on delivery so off-ICP engagers never reach a sequence, cap how many people you harvest from a single post, and make the first line reference the actual signal. A message that says why today is the opposite of spam.
Does this work for recruiting and agency work?
Yes, and they are two of the strongest fits. Recruiters watch people for job changes and companies for hiring surges. Agencies run watches per client workspace, see usage per workspace and export it for rebilling, with the whole thing whitelabelled as their own.
