Cold Email Cost Calculator

Mailboxes, domains and IPs add up differently depending on which model you buy. Put in your sending volume and see what each setup actually costs a month, and where the crossover sits.

Infrastructure Cost

What will your sending actually cost?

Per-seat mailbox pricing is linear. Dedicated-IP infrastructure is not. Enter your volume to see both, plus the point where the cheaper model changes.

30–50 is the safe range for cold sending. Higher caps mean fewer mailboxes but more risk per mailbox.

FAQ

Common questions

How much does cold email infrastructure cost per mailbox?

Real Google Workspace or Microsoft 365 mailboxes through a reseller run about $4.00 to $4.50 per mailbox per month. Dedicated-IP private infrastructure is cheaper per mailbox at volume, starting around $2, because you are paying for IPs and domains rather than software seats.

At what volume should I switch to private infrastructure?

Usually somewhere between 50 and 100 mailboxes. Below that the inherent sender trust of a real Google or Microsoft mailbox is worth the premium. Above it you are paying seat prices for what is fundamentally an IP and a domain.

Does this include domains?

No, the monthly figures are mailboxes only. Budget roughly $12 to $14 per domain per year on top. At three mailboxes per domain, 33 mailboxes means about 11 domains.

Should I run both mailbox types?

Most teams past 50 mailboxes do. Real Google and Microsoft mailboxes for named enterprise accounts where trust matters most, dedicated-IP infrastructure for high-volume prospecting.

Are these prices current?

They reflect published rates at the time of writing and are here to show the shape of the maths rather than to quote anyone. Check current pricing before you commit.
