Common questions
What is an SPF record?
SPF (Sender Policy Framework) is a DNS TXT record listing the servers allowed to send mail for your domain. Receivers use it to detect forgeries.
Can I have more than one SPF record?
No — a domain may publish only one v=spf1 record. Multiple records cause a permerror and providers may ignore all of them. Merge them into one.
Should I end my SPF with -all or ~all?
-all (hard fail) is strictest; ~all (soft fail) is a safe middle ground while you confirm every sender is included. Avoid +all — it authorizes anyone.
