Common questions
What does DMARC do?
DMARC tells receiving servers what to do with mail that fails SPF and DKIM, and sends you reports on who's sending as your domain. It's your defense against spoofing and phishing.
What's the difference between p=none, quarantine and reject?
none only monitors; quarantine sends failing mail to spam; reject blocks it outright. Most teams start at none, then tighten to quarantine and reject.
I have SPF and DKIM, do I still need DMARC?
Yes. SPF and DKIM authenticate mail, but only DMARC tells receivers how to act on failures and gives you reporting. Without it, you're flying blind.
How do I create a DMARC record?
Our free DMARC Record Generator builds one for you, with a safe none → quarantine → reject rollout plan.
